What we haven’t seen yet is the pricing of the phone in India. The price of Xiaomi Mi 10 reflects a 20% import tax because Xiaomi was not able to produce Xiaomi Mi 10 in India. The official reason why Xiaomi cannot manufacture is its lack of “state of the art equipment”.
Whether Xiaomi will manufacture the Mi 10T series in India will play a significant role in the phone’s pricing. If yes, then you can expect the Mi10T series to be similar to the world price. So, if the answer is no, import duties play a role.
In the European market, the Mi 10T starts at 499 euros (about 43,000 rupees) and the Mi 10T Pro starts at 599 euros (about 52,000 rupees). By the way, the Xiaomi Mi 10 was launched in India at a price of 49,999 Indian Rupees.
