We have all longed for a Christmas event and we got it. Now that everything is in place and in motion, thanks to the latest patches, let’s take a look at one of the most exciting features added to the game. The decoration is back, the Christmas tree and most importantly Santa Claus visiting Tarkov for the first time.
This article is dedicated to Santa himself, also known in Russian as Ded Moroz. Do you want someone to trust Escape From Tarkov? Anyone who can surprise you with an item you desperately need? Well, Santa’s here and it’s so exciting to see him every time. Why is it like this? Look at it as a messenger who can surprise you at any time, but also as a social being, which is a rare condition for this game.
Today, my friend and I decided to learn more about his grandeur as it is still a mysterious creature jumping over Tarkov Land. We found him alone and isolated from the world at the old gas station in customs. Then we saw that he had something to tell us. He mumbled to follow her, and suddenly he dropped an object on the ground. So we thought, wait, what if we stay with him? Will he keep repeating the same action?
As you can see in the video, he did not. We were two people, he lost two items with different time intervals so we could not decide if the prey was tied to the player or only one time interval. But on the bright side, if you are lucky, you might find a nice item. All you have to do is not kill her and wait for the delivery time.
We also learned that Santa Claus is a peaceful character in Escape From Tarkov, and any disruption can occur in unwanted scenarios. For example, my friend forgot that his macro used to buy fast at the auction house, and he linked it to “Y”, the default Mumble button. So he wanted to greet them, but unfortunately it happened:
There is always someone like this. So what did you learn? If you plan to eliminate him (which will result in a huge negative reputation in the fence), do it right. Otherwise, you may end up lying on the floor, as we’ve learned he doesn’t hesitate to fire. So how was your vacation experience in Tarkov?
