On Thursday, users from all over the world reported glitches while using the main messaging program for the social media site Facebook and the photo-sharing app Instagram.
According to Downdetector, the outage tracking website, the outage started in India around 3 PM. Social media users reported that 70% of the problems were related to news feeds, 17% of vulnerabilities were found on the site and 12% encountered problems while logging in. Trackers have also indicated that reports of Facebook Messenger outages have begun. Dripping around 3 pm. Of the app issues, 40% encountered server connectivity, 35% reported receiving text messages, and 23% experienced login issues.
With Facebook apps, 66% of Indian users encountered problems while logging in, 22% experienced using mobile apps on networking sites, and 11% had image-related issues.
Meanwhile, in the UK, London users appeared to face more disruptions. According to the Metro, glitches have been reported in Belgium, France, and Poland.

Facebook has confirmed that some users are facing issues when sending messages on the platform. A company spokeswoman said, according to Reuters, “We are working to get things back on track as soon as possible.”
