From one point of view, there is no right or wrong way to play Hitman. The open sandboxes throughout the level are filled with thousands of different ways to achieve the same goal: some loud, some quiet, some weird, and some more or less direct. Hitman, on the other hand, is the right and wrong way to play the game. I am here to tell you the right path.
As the name suggests, Hitman 2 is an assassin game and also the latest game in the Landmark Stealth series. Here are 5 complete levels and a short introductory level. In total, you need to hit 14 targets: maybe more, but not less. They are not hard to find, because when you activate your “intuitive” vision, everything will be highlighted in red at once. They are the most famous people in every place you visit. You can just sort them if you like. When you get the chance, grab a gun and shoot them, and then run as far as possible. This will probably work, and you should be able to finish the game in the afternoon without breaking a sweat.
This is the wrong path if it is not clear.
Challenges in Hitman
The challenge for Hitman 2 is not only to beat the level or complete the level with a really high score, which the above approach does not suit you. Hitman 2’s task is to complete the level. For you, this can mean complete and complete silence: a simple shoe with a poisonous pill in a glass of champagne at another moment, a quiet fiber-optic wire at another moment. Most of the time, however, the game makes you think about baroque or perhaps poetry. While the racer accepts her trophy with amazing pyrotechnics, let the proud pharmacist feed his pet hippo, throw a filmmaker with an exaggerated industrial fan from a skyscraper. You also want to find it funny: drown someone in the sea with a fish, blackmail someone by wearing giant pink flamingos, and then push them into an elevator shaft. Etc. In many cases, this means drowning people in toilets. You will never miss this. The game will beat you and it’s fun to get the perfect score. But the most enjoyable deaths probably won’t get the best result: it’s up to you what it means to play the game.

One thing I can say is to put the pistol aside. You only have to use a pistol on three occasions: shoot something so hard that it can hit your target, and quietly shoot in the back of the head when no one is looking, or shoot a long-range sniper for a constant “sniper killer” challenge. Most of the time, if you fire more than three shots in a level, I am arguing that you are playing wrong. Others might argue that they should be filming, but they are cowardly and weak. Hitman 2 is an awesome shooter: if you want to shoot a pistol, play a good one.
Our deadliest weapons are wrenches and screwdrivers, used to ward off toxins and coins thrown for vials or breaking equipment. Your best tools are your ears and your ability to quickly create whatever outfit you were born into. The last game is called Opportunity and this game is Mission Stories. You can use this. If you prefer a less scripted approach, just watch. Take equipment that will allow you to move freely and see where your target is heading. Maybe you can electrocute them in the mud with water near an open wire, maybe you can put a heavy object on their head, maybe you can drink some poison in their glass and then drown them while they vomit in the toilet … Again, this is the latest classic.
