Events like the Go Fest take a lot of pressure off players as regional Pokémon migrate to different parts of the world to host the event.
This year, characters like Chatot, Throh, and Sock will appear in places they’ve never been before, but that leaves a lot of questions for players.
Let’s take a look at Chatot, if he’s good, what is his maximum CP, what are his best moves, and if you might be lucky enough to get a great move at Go Fest.
Niantic has confirmed that Chatot will only be available to players who have purchased GO Fest tickets, so unfortunately those looking to play for free will be overlooked.
Flying Pokémon will be available as part of Jungle Habitat, which will rotate twice a day. Keep in mind that only sunlight will attract it and will not be in the wild.

CAN IT BE SHINY AT GO FEST?
Unfortunately, there aren’t many shiny regional Pokémon in Pokémon Go, and Chatt falls into that category, and while Niantic is releasing a number of shiny Pokémon in the game during the event, it won’t.
For those who are curious what a glossy lock will look like after release.

WHAT’S CHATOT’S MAX CP, BEST MOVESET AND IS IT GOOD?
CHATOT’S has a relatively low maximum CP of 40 in 1791, or 50 in 2025, which means that if it could be used in Pokemon Go PvP mode, it would have to be Great League.
Unfortunately, however, even in the Big League, CHATOT is ineffective as PvPok ranks him 655th among the best Pokémon in the division.
It beats Jelicante, Alolan Marovac, Victribel and Machamp, but don’t let that fool you, you definitely shouldn’t be using it. Sadly, it’s nothing more than a Deux filler, and considering that the chroot isn’t shiny yet, it’s not that exciting either.
If for some reason you want to use CHATOT in combat, you should use the following techniques:
- Fast Move – Peck
- Charged Move – Sky Attack
- Charged Move – Night Shade
